Introduction
Safeguarding protects the well being and rights of young people under the age of 18 years ensuring they live free from abuse and neglect. It involves identifying risks, preventing harm and responding to concerns.
Safeguarding focuses on protecting under 18 year olds from maltreatment to ensure they have a safe and healthy development.
Safeguarding prevents harm by taking protective measures, preventing abuse and neglect before it occurs.
Safeguarding ensure these individuals receive the protection they need to live free from harm and neglect.
Aims & Objectives:.
A 2 hour CPD course to equip dental professionals with the knowledge and skills to recognise, respond to and report safeguarding concerns involving children at risk, in line with professional legal and regulatory responsibilities within the dental setting.
