Safeguarding protects the rates of vulnerable adult individuals including their health and well being ensuring they live free from abuse and neglect. It involves identifying risks preventing harm and responding to concerns. 

Vulnerable adult safeguarding focuses on adults who are at an increased risk due to factors like age, disabilities or dependent on care.

Safeguarding prevents harm by taking protective measures by preventing abuse and neglect before it occurs. 

Safeguarding ensure these individuals receive the protection they need.

Aims & Objectives:

A 2 Hour CPD course to equip dental professionals with the knowledge and skills to recognise, respond to and report safe guarding concerns involving adults at risk, in line with professional legal and regulatory responsibilities within the dental setting.
